Editorial Principles

Promptating explains AI news for readers who are interested in the field but are not specialists. Articles identify the Promptating editorial team as their author.

How we select stories

We prioritize verifiable materials such as official announcements, research papers, and public technical documentation. We ask what a new product or policy changes for readers and whether a story needs context from multiple sources. When we learn of a story through another publication or a community post, we seek the primary source where possible.

AI and human review

We use AI to organize source material, review translations, and draft articles. We do not publish an AI draft as it is. A person reviews sources, factual claims, headlines, and wording, and approves an article before publication. AI assistance does not replace reporting or fact-checking.

Sources and images

We check facts against sources and write our own sentences. We attribute brief direct quotations and link to the original sources used at the end of each article. For lead images, we prefer real product screens or official materials and label AI-generated images when used. See our source policy for details.

Corrections

If a reader reports a possible error, we check it against the source material. When we confirm an error, we correct the article and disclose significant changes in it. Send corrections, image questions, or copyright concerns to [email protected].
